Robert Heusman

Robert Lee "Bob" Heusman, 70, Sterling, died February 23. Born June 18, 1941, in Bairoil, Wyoming. Graduated from Sterling High School 1960. Life work included construction, carpentry, and farming. Hobbies: dogs, fishing, camping, playing cards with friends and family. Recovering alcoholic for over 25 years, sponsor to many others. Married Barbara Bratt, May 23, 1973. Member St. John Lutheran Church, Sterling, Sterling Volunteer Fire Department.

Family members include: wife, Barbara, Sterling; daughters, Trish L. Bessey, and husband, Jeff, Sterling; Kristi JoAnn Furtado, Lincoln, Jayda Marie Heusman, Sterling; sons, Robert Lee Marvin Heusman, and wife, Wendy, Sterling, Kevin Harold Heusman, and fiancee, Marissa Rogman, and children Gage and Baron, Palmyra; step-daughter, Kellie Ray Ficke, and husband Harley, Milford; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; mother, LaVerta Emshoff, and husband, Elvin, Syracuse; sister, Jill McAuliffe, Sterling; brothers, John Eliah Jennings, and wife, Marilyn, Winnemucca, Nevada, Ronnie Jennings, Rock Springs, Wyoming, Lyman Sawyer, and wife, Evie, Red Lodge, Montana; brother-in-law, Leon Van Slyke, Lincoln; sister-in-law, Shari Budt, Lincoln; nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by father, Marvin Heusman; son, Darrin Bouc; brother, Floyd Jennings; sister-in-law, Kathy Van Slyke; brothers-in-law, Mike McAuliffe and Arthur Dale Bratt; step-father, Donald VanWinkle; parents-in-law, Mary (Pearl) and Marvin Bratt.

Memorials services were held February 28, at St. John Lutheran Church, Sterling. A memorial has been established to the family’s choice.
