Emma J. Gakle

Emma Jean (Light) Gakle, 54, Sabetha, Kansas, died on Thursday, October 22, 2009. Born Emma Jean Light on March 28, 1955, to proud parents of Rosemary (Horliey) Light and Joe Light in Lincoln.

Attended Tecumseh High School and baptized at Palmyra United Methodist Church. Married to Gary Kroeze. Later in life, she married George Collier. Devoted wife and mother, grandmother and sister. Was newly married, happily living with husband, Roger, in Sabetha, Kansas. Will be greatly missed by friends and family for her laughter and her humor and her never-ending kindness.

Survived by: husband, Roger Gakle; sons, Monty Lee Kroeze and wife, Tonya, Verdon; and Michael "Moose" Collier and wife, Lisa, Humboldt; sisters, Eula Stokes and husband, Harlan, Sabetha, Kansas; and Mary Lou Hickey and husband, Roy, Elk Creek; and four grandchildren and expected grandson.

Preceded in death by: father, Joe Light; and mother, Rose Robinson.

Memorial services held Tuesday, October 27, at Popkess Mortuary Chapel, Sabetha, Kansas. Memorials to C.A.P.S (Community Animal Protection Society) sent in care of funeral home.
