Now in its sixth year of existance, the Los Angeles Impact is one of the charter members of the World Associated Fantasy Football League (WAFFL).

Impact Continue Losing; Injuries riddle team

The return of Jeff George to the Impact was short-lived as the multi-million dollar signal caller re-injured his groin and did not return to the game. The absense of points from such a prominent position all but ensures the Impact's franchise-record 9th loss of the season. George rejoins the long list of Impact casualties this year that, coupled with some unexpected disappointments, have produced the worst season in Impact franchise history.

Rumors are flying in regards to the status of first-year head coach Don Shula, but nothing has been confirmed by team management. Shula was hired in the offseason to help Los Angeles make a run at the league title, but the Impact have looked less than impressive this year. The trade of star running back, and longtime Impact, Curtis Martin for Mushin Muhammed at a first round draft pick may just be a prelude to wholesale changes in the Impact organization.
