Actively involved with exhibiting in several local galleries, competitions and membership in art organizations.  Volunteer with Cancer Awareness Through the Arts, provide workshops and demonstrations in papermaking, maskmaking, creativity and accept commissions for pen and ink house portraits.

Approximately twenty-five years ago, I began the pursuit of becoming an artist, beginning in a traditional manner by developing drawing and painting skills.  My work now spans the range from realism to abstract through the use of pen & ink, oil, acrylic, watercolor, handmade paper, maskmaking and collage.

Subjects vary from flora, still life, landscape and abstract.  Floral's are single bloom or a portion oft, larger than life, colors are bold and brilliant, color opposites are preferred as well as work to accent light and shadow.  I work with a watercolor concentrate in combination with watercolor pigments, layering and glazing to achieve intense color.  I strive to bring the essence and beauty to my viewers as simply as I can.

I enjoy working in the field of papermaking, exploring it's many options and experimenting with color, texture, embossing and using natural plants.  I find the process is in itself an art form and I use papermaking to express myself in two-dimensional and three dimensional sculptural forms such as the creation of bowls, baskets and masks.

Maskmakiing is also an intriguing and intuitive process.  The masks seem to create themselves, often revealing various qualities within myself.

I teach papermaking and maskmaking to both children and adults.  For the past five years I've volunteered my services in maskmaking, papermaking and painting with the Nebraska Methodist hospital "Cancer Awareness Program" workshops.  The maskmaking has been most rewarding for me as I observe the powerful experiences, joy, and insights the participants express - this is truly a healing art.
