As a former development director and executive director, volunteer board member, and consultant, Mari Lane Gewecke has nearly 30 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations.
Prior to launching her consulting business in 1991, Mari held management positions in the nonprofit sector, state government and private business. Her career covers human services, public health, education and the banking industry.
As a consultant, Mari has assisted countless organizations with their strategic planning and fund development needs.
Mari’s volunteer service has included roles as a board member and officer for Lincoln Children’s Zoo, Capital Humane Society, Leadership Lincoln and Lincoln Symphony Orchestra Association. Mari also served on the board of directors of Rotary Club #14.
Mari is currently chair of the Strategic Planning Committee for the Cather Circle and chairs the Governance Committee for American Red Cross—Cornhusker Chapter board of directors. She is also involved with Rotary Club #14.
Professional associations include the Nebraska Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, which Mari served as president in 2000; the Nebraska Partnership for Philanthropic Planning; and service on the Advisory Board for CharityChannel from 1998-2003.
Lane Gewecke Consulting is a member of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.
A cum laude graduate of the University of Nebraska, Mari holds degrees in political science and history as well as a graduate certificate in gerontology. |
