Trips

Trips is another four receiver set for NU. In this alignment the Huskers deploy two flankers to the same side along with a tight end. The backfield contains just the QB and I-back, and there is another TE on the weakside.

In 1999 the Huskers started in Trips to create an unblanced formation. Tracy Wistrom would start as the backside TE, then shift back to a wingback position while one or the wide outs steped up to the line-of-scrimmage. Wistrom could then motion in an H-back fashion to the strong side.
