Spread

Spread is a balanced formation but offers two very different attacks. On the strong side, there is the threat of the tight end and blocker/receiver along with the flanker.

To the weak side there is the flexibility of twin receivers to run combination patterns or key the perimeter blocking.

Spread was Osborne's first experimentation with a one-back set, appearing as far back as the Game of the Century. Originally this set was formed by moving the I-back to the slot position and moving the wingback to a wide receiver spot.
