Beecham/Beauchamp Records and others taken from Bru Boru Cultural Centre website

The names with links are the records I have, some from Jean's trip to Ireland and some I ordered from the Waterford Heritage Society. Irish records can be confusing, Tullaghhorton (parish) is now part of Ballylooby/Duhill, same as the old parish of Tubbrid. Names listed twice in the same year are probably separate civil and parish copies. Note the 1868 civil copy for John Beecham and the parish copy in 1868 for Thomas Beecham,(are they the same?) also a 1874 birth of a John Beecham?

The Beauchamp/Beechams probably came from France to Ireland. The Beauchamp name is listed with French families who were naturalized in Ireland between 1681 and 1712. There are more records of Beauchamps in Carlow, Limerick and Clare Counties in Ireland. The Bru Boru site will give the name, date, parish and type (birth, marriage, death) of records they have, free registration is required. There is a fee to look at the individual records which would give more detailed information, which I hope to look up and post here in the future.

There were Beauchamps in registry of the Reverend Edward Bacon as published in "Irish Ancestor, Vol. XVII, No. 1, 1985.", County Tipperary in the 1780's. These are the earliest records of Beauchamps in Tipperary.

My cousin Eileen Larsen sent these Beauchamp records which includes the 1847-64 Griffiths Evaluations and the mention of a John Beauchamp in Clonmel in 1794 running a a"watches, clocks and silverplate" business. Thanks.
