| The Rocket Management Subsystem ( RMS ) is a light
anti-personnel assault weapon. The RMS consists of a display unit (
Rockets ) panel located in the pilot station and two Operations Units
located in the leading edge of the wings, one for each of the inboard
wing stores racks. The RMS permits the pilot to select the desired type
of 2.75 inch folding fin aerial rocket ( FFAR ) warhead, fuze, quantity,
range, and rate. Seven or 19 tube launchers can be mounted on each of
the inboard and outboard wing stores racks. The rocket launchers are
divided into zones as shown. Prior to loading or unloading 2.75 inch
rockets, the rocket power circuit breaker ( AH-1P ) and the wing stores
power circuit breaker ( AH-1E/F ) will be pulled. |
