Vertebrate Paleontology Division of the University of Nebraska State Museum Faced With Termination

We ask that you write a letter addressed to the Governor of Nebraska and to the Chancellor of the University with copies to the individuals on the list below.   The links below provide information about the accomplishments and services of the Division of Vertebrate Paleontology for your use.  Your letters will be most effective if received before March 31st.

Our principal concern is to ensure the continuance of one of the oldest academic programs in vertebrate paleontology in the United States, begun under the direction of Professor E. H. Barbour in 1891.  Beyond that obvious fact, we are working to preserve the positions of our division staff, who collectiviely represent over 160 years of professional expertise in the discipline of vertebrate paleontology.
