Direct Line Descendants from Valentine Brown (ca 1750)

There is still active discussion about where Valentine Brown Jr. (b. ca 1804) fits into the Valentine Brown Sr. line. The likelyhood that he DOES belong to the Valentine Sr. line is now all but confirmed by Y-DNA studies, but exactly where he fits has still not been proven through traditional genealogical research. One possibility is that Valentine Brown Jr. is a son of Valentine Sr., and another possibility is that he is Valentine Sr.'s grandson, perhaps by his son James. The limited Y-DNA results we have so far would support the latter as the most likely connection, since it would better explain the 37/37 match between Charles Keith Brown and Gale Roland Brown.
