Adams County Genealogical Society

The Adams County Genealogical Society (ACGS) has been in existence since 1968 to provide encouragement and resources to those interested in genealogy and family history, especially in but not limited to Adams County, Nebraska. Membership covers the calendar year from January to December and is open to all. Annual dues are $15.00 for individuals or families to be paid in January of each year.

Six ACGS meetings are held each year at 7:00 P.M. on the 4th Tuesday in March, April, May, August, September, and October currently at the Hastings Public Library on the second floor. The ACGS library located in the Adams County Historical Society in the Hastings Museum is open Tuesday through Thursday 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Friday 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., and Saturday 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. They are closed Sunday, Monday and holidays. ACGS members who live in the area are expected to occasionally volunteer to staff the library on Saturdays.
